Ready, Set, Process

We live in a fast-paced time. Especially in the western culture – we want it all and we want it now. With everything just a few clicks away, an instant satisfaction is constantly in demand. We need everything to be as simple as 1, 2, 3; Bing-Bang-Boom. Human mind, however, is much more complicated.

Sometimes life brings in challenges, difficulties, storms. That’s the nature of life – no secrets there. Usually these times require us to dig deeper, face whatever it is that we need to deal with and understand what we want to change. Usually, this kind of a process, will take longer than an instant “fix”.

I believe that one of the most important realisations a person has to make before going on any type of journey is, that it is a process. It’s a road for development, for growth. And while it is a choice of a much rewarding path, it won’t necessarily happen in a day, or in a single session of any method.

Change in itself doesn’t have to take too long. What might take a while is gaining the awareness and understanding of who we are, what we want, what is holding us back and what we need to let go of/change. It is this awareness which we are striving for that will make our process worthwhile.

It is a crucial choice that one has to make – am I willing to commit to myself, to put the time and effort, to accept possible setbacks and to embrace the challenges and see them as opportunities? It is a choice only you can for yourself, no one can make it for you. I know one thing for certain – it is the best choice to have.
